A Great Experience

So my four years are finally up with volleyball! Finishing the season going further than any other FSU had gone, with an overall finish of 7th. This really was one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences of my life and I would highly recommend any other up and coming girls and boys to go for it as well.

I have a few more months here to finish up with school, then I will be heading back to start the next chapter of my life.

Thank you to everyone who supported me over these last years, it meant a lot.

HOLY CRAP….FINAL FOUR!!

oh yes people…. FSU made it into the final four teams IN AMERICA (OUT OF 360) for the first time everrrr!

We are in San Antonio today practicing, interviews with ESPN and even New York Times. Its all so unreal. We also got spoiled today by Nike

We play UCLA tomorrow on ESPN, whoa re ranked 9th. They have been playing unreal and knocked out the number one seed Texas last week.

ACC CHAMPIONS!!

We clinched the title this weekend with a win over Clemson and georgia Tech!

One more ACC game this weekend in MIami then NCAA selection show on Saturday to see seedings for NCAA tournament! We are currently ranked 8th. 

Our first loss :(

We had win last Friday against Wake Forest in 5 sets. We had a huge comeback in the 5th set from 8-3 down. Was a great game but never should have gone that far.

We lost to Duke on the Sunday in 5. Never should have happened but they had a great game and we played very average.

If we win these net two games we will secure the ACC championship so Clemson and Georgia Tech mean a lot. Then next week for thanksgiving we fly to Miami.

I had an MRI on my hip done and I have a stress fracture in my femoral head. Unfortunately theres nothing I can do other than get shots every couple of days for pain and keep playing. ONLY A MONTH LEFT!! GO NOLES

NC State and UNC

This was my last home weekend and senior night as you can see from the pic below. Was very bitter sweet! Crazy that I have played my last home games now.
We finished with two wins and are the first FSU team to go undefeated all season at home.
We are also undefeated in ACC play and moved up to #17 in the country and more importantly #10 in RPI.
We are having an unreal season and I am so happy to go out this way. Just need to stay focused!! Then home time

Boston College, Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech

We are still undefeated!!!!! New rankings come out tomorrow but we are 19th in the country, and ranked 9th for the post seasons tournament.
We have the number one blocker in the country, and three of us are top 5 in the ACC.
The Boston College/Maryland trip went really well. The are both top teams in the ACC and those wins were awesome to get on the road. Boston College was the best game I have a had in a while also.
This weekend we won both games in 3 sets. Definitely on the right track for an ACC championship.
I have strained my hip pretty badly and the only fix is rest (which isn’t going to happen) so i’ll be living off cortisone shots for the rest of season.

We had two big wins against GA Tech and Clemson this weekend..
Our Middle Blocker is tied for 1st in the country for blocks.
We have 3 players in top 5 for blocks in ACC.
We have an RPI ranking of 6th in the nation, which means for the national tournament we will be seeded 6th.

AND UNDEFEATED IN THE ACC

Ranked #21 and 7-0 in ACC

Seven games into the ACC and we are undefeated!!!!!!! We have wins over Miami, Duke, Wake Forest, UNC, NC State,Virginia and Virginia Tech.

This weekends win over UNC was so important. They were also undefeated, so the win meant we are int he first running spot to win ACC’s.

We are having a great season, with everyone healthy and playing well. Our middle blocker is ranked #1 for blocks int he nation and our RPI ranking (ranking used for post season tournament) is at #7. Everything is great right now.

I am on track to graduate this fall, but still have a scholarship for Spring so will return and finish off some more classes and come out with another minor degree.
